SQL*LIMS® Software has its roots in an innovative company that started developing electronic data systems for laboratory automation in 1979. Later becoming part of Applied Biosystems, the first version of this software was introduced in 1982, and the term LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) was coined. Continually enhanced by our customers' changing requirements, SQL*LIMS Software has been the technology leader ever since.
With its long track record, this software has been implemented in a broad spectrum of industries. More than 30,000 professionals around the world chose SQL*LIMS Software for analytical laboratories in the pharmaceutical, chemical/petrochemical, environmental testing, food and beverage, and forensic science industries.

Building long-term relationships
We view our relationship with customers as a long-term partnership, not simply as a point of sale. We provide continued support to ensure your SQL*LIMS project is successful—from deployment to every day use. Our LIMS Professional Services Group offers consulting, training, and technical support from planning and deployment services to assistance with every day use of your system.
That relationship is further enhanced through the many customers we ask to join a Customer Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB provides the customer voice when we begin looking at major enhancements and improvements to our LIMS product. This model recently resulted in the release of our latest version of SQL*Stability™ Software module for shelf-life testing and inventory control. Input from this CAB project helped to rationalize our customers’ requirements, and enabled us to release a product that met many of those needs.
Enabling a upgarding path
As we improve and innovate our SQL*LIMS product, we make every effort to provide you with an upgrade path. Our goal is to make upgrades from earlier versions of our products—and from other vendors’ products—as seamless, economical, and as easy as possible. Throughout our 25-year history with SQL*LIMS, we have provided an automated upgrade path and scripts for moving our customers from one version of the product to the next. And although we encourage customers using legacy systems to take advantage of the increased functionality and savings possible with the newest version of SQL*LIMS Software, we continue to provide support for our legacy systems.
